Last Friday a Houston artist booked a six hour block in Black Orbit. He had three songs ready and a hard out at 2 AM. He left the building at 3:30 AM with seven full takes, a freestyle that surprised everybody, and a beat he wrote on the spot.
That kind of night is why we built this Houston recording studio.
Black Orbit is our live room. Junior Engineer rate, 65 dollars an hour. It is the kind of room where a producer can spread out and where a rapper can pace the floor between takes without losing the moment.
The artist came in carrying a USB and a notepad. The producer he brought was someone he met at our last Vibe Check Thursdays. They had not worked together before that night.
Two hours in he scrapped one of his three songs and wrote a new one in the booth. The producer flipped a sample on the fly. Our engineer kept the punch ins clean and got out of the way.
This is what a real Houston music session looks like when the room is right and the team trusts each other. Da Spaceship gives you a Manley reference mic and a Senior Engineer. Black Orbit gives you space to breathe and a price that lets you book longer blocks.
Every one of those late night moves came from showing up ready and using the time well.
If you have an idea that needs a real room, lock in a booking page slot or call 832 779 7244. Block time is 300 dollars for 12 hours in either room, and our membership deal gives you 30 hours for 700 dollars with priority scheduling.
Want to meet a producer or an engineer before you book? Pull up to Vibe Check Thursdays. Live performances, interviews, and industry opportunities every week. RSVP at the Vibe Check event page.
